Headteacher's Welcome.

I would like to welcome you to St Cuthbert’s Catholic Primary School website. I hope you will find your visit both stimulating and exciting. During your visit to our website, you will be able to view some of the different activities undertaken by our pupils and get a flavour of our rich and stimulating curriculum.

St. Cuthbert's was built to be a Catholic School and, therefore, the Religious Education and all rites and ceremonies are of the Church.  We try to foster a Catholic atmosphere, and the practice of the Christian faith is the aim of the school.

The present school was opened in 1974, situated in its own grounds and has two separate play areas for the Nursery, Infant and Junior children.  We have playing field facilities just across the road. There is a parking area at the side of the school and this is used by the staff.

The School is voluntary aided and is in the Western Area of the Cumbria Children’s Services. It is in the Diocese of Lancaster. The number of pupils on Roll as of September 2015 is 107 including a part-time Nursery.
